Hi all,
Does anyone has a clue about the origin of this coat of arms? It is painted on a chinese "famille rose" export lidded urn.
Thanks! Marc

Couldn't find anything on this. I suspect that if it's Chinese, it will be harder to find than something based in the USA or the UK.

The aristocracy were fond of ordering armorial china from China! The order must have taken at least a year for delivery & the artistic interpretation of the customers arms often agley! This arms on this balluster jar look as if they're surmounted by a marquis' coronet which, if correct, will narrow the ID field enormously.
Skoosh.

The options are limited but we need someone who knows this narrow niche very well - would you happen to know anyone who can find it?

Belize, somebody on here should have a clue, I'm surprised there hasn't been a better response. The arms could be continental, Bavarian maybe? not Scottish anyhow I don't think.
