How do you know that the Samuel from 1841, with Susan and children, was born in Tideswell?
No exact birthplaces given in 1841, he says "Yes" born in county, so as living in Sheffield that would be Yorkshire?  He is dead before 1851 census when birthplaces are given.
So where has the idea that he was born in Tideswell Derbyshire come from?

Yes, there was a Samuel bn Tideswell (see reply #4), but how do you know that is the same person as the one who is in Sheffield in 1841 with the (apparent, no relationships given) wife Susan?

In 1851 Sidney and Mary Pashley seem to be with the Pashley in laws.

Mary is 24 and born Sheffield

Still not sure how you got back to Tideswell in Derbyshire for her parents though!

Lets go back a stage

You are confident that Sidney Pashley and Mary, are your ancestors?

And you have their marriage cert, in Sheffield, in 1851?

Who does she name as her father? and his occupation? And how old is she? Her address? And witnesses names?

Lets be sure the 1841 family is right! Especially as only one census she says bn Sheffield (and that is when she is with inlaws, so they probably filled it in and put Sheffield like everyone else in the house), when it is her and Sidney she puts London on several censuses.

HAve you got the widowed Susan in 1851? I cant see her anywhere

I was hoping if she was at Daisy Walk it would at least be a link from Mary (who marries Pleshley) back to the Samuel and Susan couple from 1841!
At the moment even that looks a bit weak - occupation of file cutter is consistant, but Mary's age and birthplace is all over the place.

Witnesses at MAry's marriage?
