hi,,,,,,,, i know his fathers name was david william thomas.. born 1897... married a lady called ethel dont know her maiden name.. david william was my fathers oldest brother,, they had a child gillian,, am just trying to add links to my family tree... dont have any other infox

Have you checked freebmd for a marriage between David and Ethel?

You can also use freebmd to check for a birth for Douglas which will show his mothers maiden name

With that info you can then check for a David Thomas marriage to that maiden name to see if she was Ethel
