Hiya
Trying to find family for Kathleen Smith who lived at 13 Nelson Road, Ponders End in early1896. Where can I find electoral roll details please? Her father was Frederick Smith and had died by the time she married in Feb 1896.
Any help would be great - thanks.

Thanks for your quick replies.
I have looked at Isabella before but am sure I found a reason why it did add up.... I will revisit it all and if I find my stumbling block again will give you a shout to see if I am being daft....
Just for info - can we get to electoral rolls for this area as I couldn't see anything? Also am I right in thinking I would need to come to London Metropolitan Archives for parish records for that area?

Hi again, what was the occupation of Frederick on the marriage certificate of Kathleen and any witnesses?

Also in 1881 Kathleen aged 3 b Buckhurst Hill in Waltham Cross, which ties in with 1901 possibly, what was her age at death?

My Kathleen died in Tottenham in Nov 1957 aged 83/84.
I have just re-checked those census and here were my glitches:
Kathleen C Smith b.Buckhurst Hill still lived at home in 1901 as she appears on the census with her parents. My Kathleen was married and on the census as Holmes.
Isabella Smith who lived in Nelson Road in 1901 at number 4 as a widow - I found her in 1891 with her husband George at a different address in a Ponders End and with same sons Harry and James.
Unless I am missing something I think this rules them both out???

;D Now that sounds like valid research, so let me start again!
All the places Kathleen lived including 1911 were within a half mile of Nelson Road, as lived in that area for years.

Yes it's really odd as they didn't move far at all once she was married. I did wonder if some of her info may be purposely incorrect as it looks like it was a shotgun wedding so to speak....... Their first daughter Winifred was born 4 months after Kathleen and Edward married.....
