Have a look at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and you will very quickly find the death record for Jane Warren Douglas BAYNE.

Although these are submissions as opposed to extracts there are the following to be found at http://www.familysearch.org

Father: Adam Hannah, Mother: Jane Bain

International Genealogical Index / British Isles - 7

 1. Adam S Hannah - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 22 MAY 1879 Crail, Fife, Scotland

 2. Margaret S Hannah - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Birth: 18 DEC 1880 Crail, Fife, Scotland

 3. Johanna Hannah - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Birth: 24 SEP 1882 Crail, Fife, Scotland

 4. Agnes Bayne Hannah - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Birth: 09 MAR 1884 Crail, Fife, Scotland

 5. Andrew Hannah - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 22 NOV 1885 Crail, Fife, Scotland

 6. Richard Bayne Hannah - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 22 FEB 1888 Crail, Fife, Scotland

 7. Andrew Hannah - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Death: 15 JAN 1898

Although these are submissions, they appear to be OK.  There's at least one son missing from the above.

The 1891 census at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk will give you a picture of the family, and any of the above birth register entries will lead you to the marriage record for the couple , - a Scottish marriage register entry shows the names of fathers and mothers, - you should be able to go back at least one further generation via death register entries.

Hi Roynold
Jane Wann Douglas Bain (Bayne) was a cousin of my grandfather John Bayne.
I know she married Adam Hannah but didn't have any of their children until finding them on a census return. However, I do have extensive Bayne data, ie her parents, siblings etc if you are interested.

Hi Roynold

"Many thanks for the info, thought bayne was spelt wrong."

Bayne wasn't wrongly spelled Just differently. Back then they were less concerned about spelling than we are now. It does make tracing rellies difficult though.  Just think of the problems they had when they recorded Births etc in the Hebrides where they had to translate from the Gaelic into E English. It does post a warning though. Don't assume there is only one way to spell a name. Before you pay out hard cash to search for a certificate make up a list of all the possible ways of spelling the name then try them in turn.  scotlandspeople search engine allows the use of wild cards ( use * in place of a letter or letters) and that can save a lot of heartache. I know! I learned the hard way!! :-[

Good hunting
