Title: Glasgow area man killed by slate falling off roof.
Post by: robbiesj on Tuesday 02 February 16 21:44 GMT (UK)
This is going back a bit to at least 1950-55.  There was an incident in the Glasgow area I believe in which a slate fell off a roof and killed a man.  It was in the newspaper, but I am struggling to find anything.
Can anyone help...a long shot I know.

Thanks
Robbie

Robbie,

Glasgow Herald is available online but it's simply scanned images of each edition.
They cannot be searched by keywords as they have not been transcribed.

Robbie,  I would have thought that this was not a unique event, given the height of the tenements.

Maybe revealing the name will help as people may recognise the person being in their tree or do a search on newspapers which is easier by name  ::)
