I have found the references I need to identify and hopefully obtain two wills from the Jamaican Record Office.

I did email them for advice last October as to how to order, possible cost etc. but never received a reply :(

So has anyone any experience of ordering wills from Jamaica? Any advice on the best way to go about it would be gratefully received.

 Many Thanks
 Chris

No Chris I don't know about Jamaican wills.
But way back in 1990s I was visiting there and talking to the Director of their National Library, she offered to look for my Billy Blue after she discovered we had a mutual friend here in Australia.

I got a 2-line airletter from her after 6 months (telling me 'no luck')

Remember they are on 'island time'

Ah... Island time...I should have thought about that, thanks for the reminder ;)

I think I will send another email and wait very, very patiently but, knowing my luck, the ones I want will have gone to dust anyway.

 Thanks
 Chris
