Title: Looking for a John Hellings married to a Vera
Post by: lasa73 on Saturday 16 January 16 14:46 GMT (UK)
Possible DOB 1930.  My dad served with this gentleman in Hong Kong in the 50s.  Can anyone help?

Thanks
Lynnette

Do you know what units he served with? And whereabouts he came from?

If he was born 1930, he could still be alive, so you may need to change the title of your post and remove his name, as Rootschat doesn't allow us to mention living people.

The marriage is on Freebmd in Plymouth 1952.

Sorry for such a delay - life got busy.
I have no idea whether these guys are alive or not - I know that when he left the army, John and Vera went to Hong Kong and my dad thinks they may have adopted a child or two from Singapore.

My mum recently passed away and my Dad would love to know whether this couple are in fact still alive.

Thanks

If that is the right person I found, I'm afraid he died in 1987.
