Hi!
Can anyone help with the following?
I have an Elizabeth Briggs, possibly born 1798/1802 at Crook Durham (according to a census return).
Elizabeth had an illegitimate daughter Jane Errington Briggs baptised in 1820 at Bishop Middleham, Durham, and later married a Thomas Errington on 29th September 1821 also at Bishop Middleham (presumably the father of Jane?) and had further issue baptised at Chester le Street.
Any help with any of the above or Elizabeths parentage much appreciated! :)

I came to the conclusion that the Elizabeth Briggs (spelling is as you put it), who married Thomas Errington and produced two Janes and a Mary is the one who was born in 1801 in the Houghton-le-Spring District. Thomas, Elizabeth and Jane (my direct ancestors) moved back to Houghton area after they had Jane. Jane married Robert Bunting (aka Bunton and Bounton).
I found baptism details for almost all of their children and passed these on to others.
