Title: Blackpool electoral registers or similar 1946-present
Post by: stephc on Thursday 07 January 16 16:21 GMT (UK)
Hello
Are there any Blackpool electoral registers or similar, or a way to look up people from 1946-present. Trying to find details of a long lost Uncle (Ronal H Cole b.1915 Bromley). Married Irene  G Hudson in Blackpool in 1946. Address was xx Montpelier Avenue. Daughter Irene M Cole born 1951. Have a likely married named for her from Ronald d.1980 cert, but don't want to publically state it for a living person (begins with H).
Can anyone help or point me in a suitable direction.
PS Ronald reported worked at British Leyland in Preston -- any workers or union records anywhere ?
Thanks

Electoral registers are only searchable by address for that period - they are not available online.

A Ronald Cole - no middle initial - born 22.6.1915 died June 1980 in Blackpool.  No probate entry

Ronald H birth was registered in the September qtr 1915 which fits that birthdate

You are looking for him from 1946 - 1980.  Online electoral registers started 2002

You can use any one of a number of sites who offer paying access to present day electoral rolls to look for the daughter - assuming the person has not opted out of the public register.

www.192.com is just one of them

You could also try BT directory enquiries (as long as they are not with another supplier)
