William Henry Lawrence Adams b. 7/10/1906 Towcester [Ascote?] was one of my mother`s foster brothers. I haven`t been able to trace him beyond 1913 when his name is recorded on the Towcester Cof E School Admission Register 1911-1929. He had two brothers Charles and Percy and parents Harry and Lottie Adams for whom my records are complete. Can anyone help please with further info. for William?

Florence J Ann Bird (Adams,Berd) born 1906
Christchurch M.B. Hampshire
She is with a Wesley R Bird who I think is possibly her father.

This looks promising though the initial J on the 1939 is probably wrongly transcribed
Birth Dec qtr 1906
Florence Ivy A Bird
Christchurch 2b 626
Date of birth stated on 1939 is 18 September 1906

Had just spotted that death entry for Florence myself and assumed she hadn`t married William H L Adams. It`s a mystery as to his whereabouts a his brothers kept in touch until their deaths. I don`t remember them talking about him though I do have a vague recollection that he was in the forces in WW2

The marriage certificate should answer some of the questions, his initials are correct on the index and the one I found in Bournemouth area in 1939 had the correct birth date. If he died in WW2 he should show on the CWGC web site.
