Post by: LynnY221 on Saturday 26 December 15 23:43 GMT (UK)
Hi

I am trying to find either what is the best website to research records from Poland. I am trying to find out more information on the following:

Emil Parylo - believed DOB - 1902
His sons Franciszek Parylo - believed DOB 4th June 1927 & Tadeusz Parylo.

Emil moved to the UK and married Catherine Rock in 1947 in Blythswood.

Thanks

www.geneanet.org only has 3 results for Parylo born Poland
they are all born - Rozborz Dlugi,Poland
1890 Simeon Parylo
1893 Michel Parylo
a Basillius Parlyo - same town - married Justina Cicirko  - they were the parents of Simeon and Michel
going to look for Parylo, Rozborz Dlugi ,Poland on google
 :)
ADDED - this Katarzyna Cicirko has many family records in Rozborz Dlugi for her family - it is a long read ,but if you are lucky there may be a record of Justina Cicirko who married Basillius Parylo  - good luck

Hi

First off I would consult the naturalisation certificates for Emil and Franciszek at The National Archives:

Emil:  http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C11971922

Franciszek: http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C12375332

Hopefully they should give you dates and places of births, possibly parents' names.  I can photograph them next time I'm at the Archives if you'd like.

Kind regards
Gaie

Hi

Huge thanks to everyone for their replies, definately somewhere for me to start.

Gaie - That sounds fantastic, I have clicked on the links and looks like there is definately some information there. Do you visit the national archives on a regular basis? If you could photograph them that would be very much appreciated.

Many Thanks Lynn
