Hi
I was wondering if some kind soul would be able to photograph and send to me the following people's death notices please (sorry unsure what newspaper they would be in as I don't live in Australia)?
* Milhum (William) HADAD
Died on 05 May 1980 in Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia (buried on 08 May 1980)
* Peter RUMBIS
Died on 04 September 1985 in Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia (buried on 09 September 1985)
* Olga (Mary) RUMBIS (formerly BETAR, nee JOHNS)
Died on 20 March 1998 in Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia (buried on 25 March 1998)
* Matilda (Ann) HADAD (nee JOHNS or NIDAF)
Died on 11 August 2000 in Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia (buried on 15 August 2000)
I am hoping there death notices might better assist me with research into these 2 sisters as I don't know to much about them, there husbands or children.
Many thanks and kind regards
Michaela :) :) :)

I think the deaths are too recent to be included but I entered a couple of your names here and received some results for other things:
http://trove.nla.gov.au/
Have a search here though:
http://www.ryersonindex.org/
Keep in mind that not everyone placed a death notice in the newspaper, and not all gave information about family of the deceased.
-
Michaela: I have had a look on the Ryerson Index, and none of the names you are interested in are there. This could be because no one has transcribed from the paper, or that there was no notice in the paper.
The local paper for Broken Hill is the Barrier Daily Truth. The Barrier Miner went out of business in about 1974.
Trove, which is the digitisation of Australian papers only goes to 1954 at this time.
Possibly a Rootschatter from Broken Hill could help.

Not everyone published death notices and often ones published only state husband of, wife of etc.
Transcriptions of these marriage registrations would give you the bride's ages and places of birth and the names of their parents including their mother's maiden name.
From NSW BDM website
Family history transcription agents provide full and partial transcriptions, or verification of details. A good idea if you only need the facts, and not full certified copies of certificates. For more details and fees, see below.

originally from Lanark,Scotland Australian Relatives on Scottish previously from Huddersfield, immigrated to Australia after Mary Hardys death in the Uk in 1973 time.. She went with a Lady called Phena? who had twins Andrew & Ian, who must remember their time in the uk. Perth Australia I think not sure,,, There must be a set of twins who remember leaving England around 1970's, I do,, Ian the twin would remember his time... a memory? found Josephine Taylor & Marea Taylor known as Rea and Phena connected to Mary Taylor??
I'm confused as to why you think this lady is your relative. Her maiden name was HARRIS.
This lady married in NSW in 1939 and was on the electoral rolls in NSW from 1949 to 1980, limit of available online rolls.

Hi
just another link I was wondering about the names I remembered they were called, Phena which must have been shortened, and Rea I don't know how they were connected, that's the dead end. So maybe this is the wrong lady? I don't know Where Phena came from other than she came to Engand after Marys Death, and Rea who lived in Hudderfield where I spent holidays emigrated to Australia with Phena who had twin boys, I honestly am in the dark with this connection and just hoping like yourself someone somewhere can help me, Just the dates and Names of their death in Australia is only an inkling of the time and ages they would be, that where this came in. Maybe this connection is a dead end to Rea,,, it just seemed possible, maybe hope more than anything else. Thank you
