Title: Smaller Photo
Post by: GeorgeRP on Monday 21 December 15 09:14 GMT (UK)
Hi All Rootschatters, how do I make a photo smaller to send it to you for a fix-up. As it is now it is 202 kb's in size.

Tanking you

George

George, you don't need to make it smaller.  You can go up to 500kbs.

I think the restorers also prefer it to be scanned in colour - even if it's a b&w photo!

Hi George...There is a tutorial for guidance on how to post a photo at the top of the board.

George,

If it's already only 202 Kb in size then you should be able to attach it. Are you getting some errors when you are trying to post it?

Hi Trstan,

Yes I am, it is saying it is too big for download.

I am just about to give up, it is wasting too many people's time.

Hi japeflaks,

No, it still isn't working, I'll have another go at it this evening.

Thanks anyway,

George

Don't give up!

If you are certain that the size is about 200kb in a format that Rootschat accepts ( e.g. .jpeg), with a totally unique name then I cannot see any reason why it will not work.
Have you uploaded a picture before?

Hi George,

Gave it a try.

Has it come out of an album with sticky paper on it, by any chance?

Hi Wiggy,

I have the photo here at home. It was sent to me, but I have a feeling it is a photo of a photo taken on an i-phone.

The present photo is a normal 6x4.

I'll try scanning it at 300dpi's if I can.

Never mind!!   ;)  But if you can for future reference that's is good.  It looks as if it has been enlarged already.  (Sorry I went back and changed my post not realising you'd answered.  Beg your pardon. ;D)

Good one JF.   ;)

Cheers,

Wiggy
