hi i am looking for info. on mary jones b-1855 to william and maryann jones of llanfabon. william was a blacksmith born in 1832 in eglwysilan merthry tydfil glamorgan.

It's not clear exactly what type of info you are looking for and with a name like Mary Jones we need all the help you can give ;D

Have you found her on the 1861/1871 censuses?

Who did she marry and when/where?

What info do you already have about her to save duplication - census etc after marriage?

hi carole  the only info. i have on mary is on the 1861 census where she is 6yrs with her mother and father and my grt grnd mther ellen biddle who is there as a visitor. :)

Good job I looked at the 1861 image - she is Margaret - not Mary

Have you looked for her on the 1871 & possibly 1881 census?

If she is not found in 1881 - she may have married between 1871 and 1881 in which case you will need to use freebmd to look for a marriage for her   www.freebmd.org.uk

The family were living in the Merthyr Tydfil registration district in 1861 but that is only a guideline to a possible search on freebmd - she may have married elsewhere

Between 1871 and 1881 there were over 100 marriages for her name in the Merthyr RD so quite a task to determine the right one

Hi Wiiliam and Mary Ann both 39 are still in Llanfabon in 1871 RG10/5376/11/16 on both 1861/71 Mary A is shown as born Cardiff, in fact 1871 St Mary Cardiff

In 1881 there is an unmarried Mary Jones 25 b Llanfabon working as a Servant with a Howel Llewellyn 32 occ Innkeeper in Pontypridd

Hi again, if Margaret there is a marriage possible of a James John to a Margaret Jones June qtr 1881 Cardiff 11a 418 in 1881 James John b 1857 and Margaret John b 1855 Llanfabon
