1851 census she is 1 month living with parents at Clarborough.
HO107/ 2121/ 254 p 34
1861 age 9 and 1871 age 19 she is niece living with Robert and Harriet Vallance nee Bell.
Did she marry and were there any children?

There are a few marriages between 1871-1881 but this one is right place for where she was in 1871
Jun 1881 East Retford
Groom George Rollinson
Could look for that couple on census to see if details match your Mary Ann

Some public family trees on Ancestry have Mary Ann Bell marrying John Butler in January 1880 at St Mark's Church, Nottingham. And their relationship resulted in a number of children. Might be a line of enquiry worth checking out.
-
There is a marriage recorded on 29 February 1880 (a leap year) at St Mark's Nottingham between John Butler and Mary Ann Bell.
And the marriage was registered: Q1, 1880, Nottingham, volume 7B, 359
So they should appear on the 1881 census as Mr and Mrs Butler.

She seems to be a few years younger than yours :-\
Born Southwell - is that correct?
-
Hello Vimto and Millipede,
Thank you very much for your replies.
I did not say but I think she was born East Retford or Ordsall, so I don't think the John Butler marriage fits as her place of birth is given as Southwell.

If Mary Bell did not put a Fathers name at her marriage would that not suggest she did not have a Father could she be born to a sister of Harriet Vallance nee Bell rather than a Brother of Harriet Vallance nee Bell. Harriet had a sister Sarah.
There are 2 Mary Bell's born December 1/4 1851 East Retford. Is there anyway of finding out who the Parents are without buying a birth certifcate. One is 15 530 and the other is 15 531 could this be a mistake and there is just the one or is there two Mary Bell's born the same 1/4.

Cannot find a marriage for Vallance/ Bell
But there is this one

Thank you everybody for all your input.
It has all thrown up as many questions as answers. I may have to look again at some of the information I have regards George Bell born 1818 Ordsall son of Jonathon Bell and Ann White.
That is did he marry Elizabeth Ingham or Elizabeth Vallance.
Thanks again everybody for the information and offers of help.

The information I have is that
George Bell Married Elizabeth Ingham Newark 1849.
1851 census living Clarbourgh/Retford George Bell born Ordsall age 33 Wife Elizabeth Born Newark age 33 Daughter Mary Ann born Retford age 1 month.
1861 census living Sheffield George Bell born Ordsall age 43 Wife Elizabeth born Newark age 46
Son William Henry born Retford age 8.
The thinking now is that Mary Ann died in Sheffield between 1851 and 1861 and that the Mary Ann
living with Robert and Harriet is a"red herring".
Will probably have to pursue this on the Yorkshire board.
Thanks again everyone for their help.

Mary Bell who married Sidney Blagg does not call herself Mary Ann just Mary also she does not seem to have a Father so is she the daughter of Sarah Bell born 1825. Mary Bell is living with her Aunt Harriet and Uncle Robert Vallance in 1861 and 1871 and Robert Vallance is a witness at Mary's marriage. Could they have taken Mary in after Sarah gave birth Dec 1/4 1851 East Retford. Two Mary Bell's were born Dec 1/4 1851 one was daughter of William and Charlotte Bell who does the other one belong to.

George Bell the Father of Mary Ann Bell born March 1/4 1851 was born 1818 he did not marry Elizabeth Vallance in 1831. He married Elizabeth Ingham in 1849. My query is Mary Ann Bell born 1851 who is age 1 month living with her Parents in 1851 would be 10 in 1861 but is not with her Parents they just have an 8 year old son with them in Sheffield., Why would they move to Sheffield and leave a small daughter with an Aunt but take the boy. On the free BMD there are 2 Mary Bell's born December 1/4 of 1851 one is the daughter of William and Charlotte. Who does the other Mary belong to. If Mary Bell who married Sidney Blagg was Mary Ann the daughter of George and Elizabeth why would she not have put her Father down as George Bell on her marriage. If she was born Mary Ann why did she marry and die as just Mary.
I think Mary Ann Bell born March 1/4 1851 may have died in Sheffield. Mary Ann Bell died June 1/4 1859 Sheffield 9c 233 and Mary Ann Bell died June 1/4 1860 9c 240. Is there a way of finding these deaths and any information about age Parents if it is a child etc.
