Title: Evercreech - Edward Lovell

Looking to find a marriage for Edward Lovell who was born approximately 1667 in Evercreech. He was the brother of the Reverend John Lovell. Edward's only daughter was Martha Lovell who was born around 1709. We would welcome any help and assistance in our search.

There is a marriage for an Edward Lovell to a Mrs. Joan Blinman on 16 April 1691 at St. Mary's Stogumber.

Could this be your Edward or a different one?

Thank you very much for the info, unfortunately we have ruled Joan out (or at least unlikely) due to there being no birth records for her having a Martha, plus she would have been in her fifties when she would have had her. Currently we are looking into the Wrington 'Allen' family as they had a daughter Ann who married an Edward here and they did baptise a Martha in 1712 (close to the time we are looking for). We are just struggling to prove that he has come from Evercreech, so any help in that dept would be amazing. Grateful for any info at all.

Hi,

There is a baptism record for John Lovell on 7 Sept 1706 at Evercreech.  The parents are given as Edward Lovell and Joane.
