My husband recently discovered his GI dad after 70 years. He is keen to find any records relating to him. He came from Greer and worked at the Coca Cola factory. He died in 2003 aged 82.
His name was Ethel Austin MOORE but was known as Harry.
The only details we have are from his obit published in Greenville News, 24 September 2003.
Can anyone help with birth marriage death registrations.
Thankyou in advance for any help.

There is an anc tree (with photograph) which says Ethel could have married 3 times - if this is not you - perhaps contact the owner.
First marriage to to Bertha Marie Whitt was 31 January 1942 - Greenville Co , South Carolina (source quoted as "record from greenvillecounty.org"
Marriages for the time frame you require are not freely available on line.

Thankyou Sandra for your time. That is my tree and all the info is what I have found online, but I cannot find any official records for births marriages or deaths. Is there a procedure in US to obtain these ? as you say they are not feely available online [ marriages ]
Sadly all military records were lost in 1973 fire at NARA so we have to find alternative ways to build up a picture.

It looks like you could get probate records for some of the family for a fee here: http://www.greenvillecounty.org/appsas400/Probate/
There are links to older South Carolina death records here: http://deathindexes.com/southcarolina/index.html
For more recent vital records, this gives information about ordering them: http://www.scdhec.gov/VitalRecords/
I presume you've seen the Greenville Co. marriage license index here: https://www.greenvillecounty.org/apps/MLSearch/default.aspx
