Hi People
I have a request for you generous experts
I hope the following information could be found as I have had this mystery for about 10 years and after finding a marriage certificate I realised that my ancestor was married previously which in turn could explain one of the mysteries.
I am hoping you can find a date for Christopher Charles Bishop & Emma Johns marriage in Martley Worcestershire in 1859
Any births or baptisms for children of Christopher & Emma and maybe Emma Bishop Death c1865
Many thanks for your help

Hi Daz
I’ve checked the Parish Register for Hallow and the information concerning the marriage is as follows:-
April 18th 1859
Christopher Charles Bishop aged 21 Bachelor, China Painter, residing in Hallow.
Father Thomas Bishop, Bricklayer
to Emily Johns 26 Spinster (no occupation) residing in Hallow.
Father George Johns, Gardener.
Witnesses were George and Anne Johns
At the time of their daughter Mary Emma’s baptism on December 16th 1861 they were living in Comer Gardens which was then within Hallow Parish. There isn’t a baptism for a Thomas or Thomas Edward Bishop or Johns at Hallow between 1855 and Mary Emma’s baptism in 1861.

Hi Jack
Wow thank you so very much for doing this for me, it certainly confirms now that Edward was born within the second marriage of Christopher Bishop.
Infact I believe Edward was actually Christopher born in Stoke on Trent to Christopher & Kezia Skinner and used the name Edward from 1888 from his marriage to Lizzie Griffiths.
So from the information you have provided I trust that Emma Bishop ( nee Johns ) died before 1867 as Christopher married Kezia in 1867.. I noticed you have her recorded as Emily though?
Thanks once again
