Hello everyone, I wonder whether someone can help?
I'm looking for some information on John Kingdon.
The known details for John are:
He was born in c.1799 in Taunton and was a Painter.
He married Sarah Williams in 1823 at St. John the Baptist Church, Wellington, but is shown as a widower.
John had 2 children; William (b.1824) and Ann (b.1826) who were both born in Taunton.
John moved to Bristol and in the 1841 census turns up in the Castle Precincts area.
If possible, I would like to know more about John's early life - where did he live, the details of his first marriage and who were his parents etc?
Many thanks.

Hello
There is a Christopher Kingdon who may be the brother tenant of the Plough Inn Weston super Mare who is made bankrupt in 1819.
The lease is sold subject to the deaths of Hannah Kingdon age 41 ,John Kingdon age 30 (born 1790) and Mary Maunder age 16 announced in the Bristol Mirror.20.6.1820
A baptism for him at Bristol St Augustine the less 1.1.1786 to Christopher and Ann Kingdon.
Looks like father was buried at St Mary Redcliffe 3.3.1833 age 85.
There's also a mysterious criminal charge against a Hannah Kingdon age 63 for forging a Will of John Poundsbury 1.4.1848 for which she got 2 years. With her is her son George Kingdon 24 who got 15 months and several others.
