Title: Sarah Williams from South Molton
Post by: Scotty227 on Saturday 14 November 15 00:43 GMT (UK)
Hello everyone, I wonder whether someone can help?

I'm looking for any information on Sarah Williams.

The known details on Sarah are:

She was born in c.1786 in South Molton.
I think Sarah was a Nurse.
She married John Kingdon in 1823 at St. John the Baptist Church, Wellington, Somerset.
Sarah had 2 children; William (b.1824) and Ann (b.1826).
Sarah moved to Bristol and in the 1841 census turns up in the Castle Precincts area.
Sarah remained in Bristol until her death in 1858.

If possible, I would like to know more about Sarah's early life - where did she live and who were her parents etc?

Many thanks.

She was around 37yrs old when she married - is she shown as a spinster on the marriage entry?

The only Sarah Williams baptised at South Molton in the period seems to be the daughter of William & Emmy (?) in 1776 - a little too early I would think, considering the date of her marriage. The register and images are on Findmypast - which may be available at your local library
