Hi

You haven't given any details of their birthyears/marriage year/ where they were both born etc etc

Is Cupar a reference to the marriage location or to John's birthplace?

Can you tell us exactly what info you are looking for and what you already have so we don't waste time duplicating info

Please see top of page "How to Use RootsChat (Please don't post requests here)"  I will ask the moderator to move your post to the Fife board for now

The marriage I posted above only took place in 1847 but you say Elizabeth Petrie was born in 1815 but you don't say where?

What census info do you already have?

John Nairn was born in Cupar in 1807.

The only 1851 entry I can find for a John Nairn b Cupar shows his birthyear as 1813 and his wife Elizabeth as born 1811 Ceres

Can you please confirm if this is the correct 1851 entry?

Hi

Did you get Elizabeth's parents names from her death cert?  If not - where did you get them from?

The only information that I have is from her death certificate which states that she was 72 when she died in July 1889 at 12 Ann Street Greenock.
She was the widow of John Nairn and mother-in-law of Barbara Nairn. Barbara was the common law with of Alexander Nairn.
Her parents were John Petrie soldier deceased and Elizabeth Petrie nee Bain who was also deceased
