For the last couple of weeks I have been unable to view anything on you tube or video clips on facebook. I just keep getting this error message coming up. I have Windows 8 but I have not installed anything new lately, can anyone advise please?
-
....and the message says??
-
Yes I was wondering that too :)
I'm guessing that it's an out of date flashplayer.
The quick answer is probably to install Google Chrome:

Sorry.
Message says:
An error has occurred. Please try again later.
So I try later and still nothing.

try https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html
which will check if Flash Player is installed on your computer and other steps to update etc..

Thank you

Have just checked and I have the latest Flash Player and it is enabled.

What internet browser are you using?
-
OK...depending on what browser you are using there are bugs...

If you are using Internet Explorer, for example, do you have another browser? Chrome, Firefox? Maybe try using them to see if you can view facebook clips??
-
Do you actually need Flash Player to view youtube videos?
I ask this as it's possible to view them on an iPad and there's no version of flash player ever been produced for the iOS platform.

If IE is replaced by Google Chrome would I lose my list of favourites?

Skoosh.
Not sure... you have the likes of http://www.mybookmarks.com/ where you can access them from a Library or wherever

Once Chrome is open you can import your bookmarks from IE. In the top right of your Chrome window click on the symbol that looks like 3 horizontal bars. Click on 'Bookmarks' than click on 'import bookmarks and settings'. This will open another tab and you just follow the instructions to import from IE. I hope that helps.
