Could anyone confirm a Barningham baptism please?
I have a note of a possible bap 25 Dec 1813 Robert, son of Thomas & Mary FROST (late Filby). Have I got the details correct? I think there were other children of the same couple bapt there too.
By 1841 Robert is still living in Barningham with Mary FROST, possibly his widowed mother, and a William Frost.

I cannot find the birth record but it would from the following appear to be correct.
1841 Pound Street, Barningham, Thetford, Suffolk
Mary Frost Female 67 1774 Suffolk
William Frost Male 30 1811 Suffolk
Robert Frost Male 27 1814 Suffolk
John Frost Next door 40 1801 All bricklayers
In 1851 Mary born Hepworth, William & John born Barningham are still there.
Also James born Barningham 1805 an Ag Lab.
ROBERT FROST, age 28 father Thomas married HANNAH BARBER, born 1818 father William. Garboldisham, Norfolk 19 Sep 1842

Colin,
Many thanks, that's very useful and gives me several more clues to follow up.
Thomas's wife Mary (Filby) I had as probably dau of Isaac and Mildrid Filby, bapt 9 Feb 1771 at nearby Hepworth, so the marriage ties in with this.
It's a long while since I worked on these lines but I vaguely recall making the notes from a fiche copy of the original Barningham baptism register, many years ago now, at Bury Record Office. IIRC the images were faint and difficult to decipher over that section, which is why I'd marked it to recheck. I expect the old register pages were in a bad state.
Cheers,
Sue
