I am trying to locate birth details of the following two persons.
George Arthur Roylance, born 1908
Fanny Edwards b. 13th July, 1913
These are both possibly Manchester events, but I can't be sure.
Thanks in advance.

Roylance, George
I think this George possibly died a month or so later.
There is a death record FreeBMD showing....
Deaths Jun qtr 1909
Congleton vol 8a page 105.
Roylance George

There is on FreeBMD a marriage in 1934 at Barton with those two names on the list.
If this is the couple you are searching for do you have the marriage certificate?
The father's names and occupations might help to trace the births.

Thanks to all for the replies. I am helping a friend in Australia with this, and she has given me the following information. George married Fanny in 1934, as Rolnora has now confirmed. This means that I can now send for a marriage certificate copy with confidence. This will give me their fathers' names, which should enable more progress. Fanny died in 1966, George died 1972. The birth certificates have been a problem, with a complication inasmuch as Fanny was the illegitimate outcome of an affair, and took her mother's surname at birth. However, the unknown father's name could well be on the certificate. I now have Fanny and George's exact d.o.b., Fanny 13th July, 1913, George, 16th August, 1908.
Thanks for your help. I shall carry on from there.

George Arthur Roylance was baptised at Christ Church, Denton on 5th September, 1906 born 16th August, 1906 not 1908. Father Robert a Packer and mother Harriett. Address was 88 Seymour Street.

And this family can be found on the 1911 census. :)

When you say that Fanny "took her mother's surname at birth" do you mean that Edwards was her mother's maiden name, or that perhaps her mother later married a Mr Edwards, and we'd need to look for a different name in the index?
KGarrad has found the only Fanny Edwards birth registered in the September Q of 1913, and there are two more registered in the December Q. All three were registered to married couples (or to couples claiming to be married). None in Lancashire.
If it is the case that Fanny's mother was not an Edwards, but later married a man of that name, there is a possible birth registration in Oldham district, September Q 1913 of Fanny Whitehead Mmn Whitehead. (If there was a father's name recorded at registration, this would show as a separate entry in the index with the same page and volume numbers. There is no such entry.)
Marriage at St Margaret, Hollinwood, Oldham 21 February 1914
Lily Whitehead 26 Spinster, winder of 48 Fox Street, Hollinwood d/o John Whitehead, brick setter
Joseph Edwards 34 Bachelor, cop packer of 49 Argus Street, Hollinwood s/o Samuel Edwards, collier (deceased)
witnesses: Leonard Taylor; Jessie Lang
A possible child born to this marriage is Jack registered Oldham district September Q 1914.
A tree on Ancestry shows that this person married Mary Wild in Oldham in 1938 and died in Brisbane, Queensland in 1996 (no parents or siblings shown).

Thanks once again for this invaluable information. Galium, Fanny's mother's maiden name was indeed Edwards. Nothing is known of the father except that he was a married man, who refused to leave his wife. I shall now send for the marriage certificate and George's birth certificate.
