Title: Waiting 24+ hours for post to be approved

Is it normal to have to wait 24+ hours for a message to be approved by a moderator and posted? My post still says "This message is awaiting approval by a moderator." I tried the report to moderator button but that did not work.

I hope this is an ok place to put this. As you can see I am struggling to use the site.

Hi Vervet,

For posts that require approval by a Moderator, they are released as soon as any Moderator is online. The moderators are based all around the World in different time zones so it will depend very much when you post your message.

I did approve a message yesterday for you about 5.30pm (UK) that had only just been posted :)

I'm sorry to bother you again but I attempted to post a link to a genealogy website this weekend and it hasn't shown up on the Useful Links part of the site. I was wondering if you could explain how to have a link put on there.

once you get there, there should be a blue 'new topic' button towards the top right of the screen

Click on the blue button, give you topic a subject name, type your message and click on 'post' when you are ready to post.
