Wonder if anyone can help me out as I can't see me getting back to "The Kingdom" for a few weeks...
My GGGG Grandfather was Thomas ROBERSTON, b.1792.
He died as a result of injuries sustained when involved in an accident with a Threshing Machine on his farm at Knights Ward, Carnbee in 1873. He was 80 years old when this occurred.
I'm assuming he was buried at Carnbee, rather than Abdie where he was born...
Anyone with MI's for the area, or available for a quick visit...?
Dougie.

Hi Dougie,
In February 2014 I posted a request on RC for photo's of my relatives graves in Carnbee churchyard. It took a year but I did receive a reply from member ostler who took photo's for me.
Later I received a reply from sparkley (Pauline) who said she lived near the church and could take photo's for me.
It looks like sparkley and ostler haven't been on RC since February and March this year but if you send them a PM they will be notified by email if they still use the same email address.
Fife Family History Group also have a publication listing Memorials in Carnbee churchyard.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Ian

Hi again Dougie,
I have just been through my files and found the book of Memorial Inscriptions which I bought from Fife Family History Society back in 2014.
There are 11 Memorials in the name of Robertson but none of them mentioning Thomas Robertson.
Perhaps there was no Memorial if he was buried there or he was buried elsewhere.
Hope this helps,
Ian

Thanks for trying for me...
I appreciate that many were buried without headstones, or that stones could have become damaged over time.
Thanks again.
Dougie.
