Does anybody have any information on Charles Meachen and Hannah Whisson? Charles was born 1822 in Mattishall Norfolk and Hannah was born 1823 in Colton Norfolk. They married 1842 in Colton Norfolk. Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks Molly

good find - I have been puzzling why the marriage was reg Mar qtr 1843 yet select had the date as 18 Dec 1842 -as marriages are always reg in the quarter they take place
It seems select have put date of banns as date of marriage
Marriage date 8 Jan 1843 which fits with BMD reg

Hello everybody! :)
It was a lovely surprise coming online and seeing all of this. Thank you very much. I think you have found the right people it was Henry Meachen that I meant, I am descended from the 'Farah Ann' who is mentioned on the 1851 census and I believe this to actually be 'Sarah Ann' Meachen who married Charles Gymer the guy that I confused Henry with in the first place!

Hello people,
Would anybody be able to do a search for me for Henry Meachen? I'm interested in seeing if he's noted as being anywhere with his family when he was younger. Thank you
Molly :)

Hi Molly
The Norfolk Baptism Project http://www.rootschat.com/links/01ewo/ has Henry baptised to Henry and Mary Meachen 14 July 1820 at Mattishall
There is a marriage of Henry Meachen and Mary Wright on 9 Nov 1818 at Yaxham (next door to Mattishall)

My mother was a Meachen..we have traced her line back to Yaxham 1713......my guess is yours come from that way too as i see a familiar name there ( Gymer ), i have loads of stuff so it may take a while to cross ref stuff .
