Now tell me again where do I go to re size a photo so that it is within the limits allowed after cropping?.
I think I am ok with the dpi.
Also is it better to keep dpi at 300?

will I find the answers in help, not the brightest star in the sky here.

I normally would re-size an image 300dpi about 1000 px on the longest side.

If your photo is very small...600dpi otherwise 300dpi is fine.
