Hi I'm a bit stuck trying to find my great grandma Rose Florence Terrell's family.
I don't know her mum or dads names; and I don't know if she had any siblings.
Rose was born in 1894, married William George Springate and died in 1980.
I have a newspaper clipping with her and her husband running for Lewisham council labour party in 1928. But I would like to know a bit more about her.
I would be very grateful for any information about her.

The certificate would give her parents' names.

I see the problem in 1901 she is with an aunt and uncle and in the next census is a servant! They are quite old though to be an aunt or uncle and the other person is a nephew but 30. I'm afraid that it does look as if your only option is to get her birth certificate. Then we may be able to find the famly in 1891.

That could lead to this - right place of birth as stated in 1901. So it depends whether Jane is Rose's aunt or Great aunt.

An online tree gives Thomas's father as Israel. If so, this looks like his baptism. From Family Search https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J76M-GQH
There are other Terrill/Terrell families there as well

I would have started with her marriage certificate to get her father's name, but I can't see on freeBMD any marriage of Rose Terrell and William Springate

Sorry for the late reply! Thank you for all of your research it is helping us out a lot.
Bit by bit slowly but surly tweaking our tree finding out more and more info about my ancestors. its nice to piece together all the things that we find out.

Twinkle, I think you and I might be distantly related.
My grandfather was William Terrell, born 1875 in Bermondsey.
His father was George Terrell who was a skin dresser in the tanning trade. He had been born in Cerne Abbas, Dorset in about 1840. His parents were Thomas and Mary (nee Brownsey) who moved to Bermondsey between 1848 & 1850, presumably looking for work.
My grandfather was one of eight children. I have all their names, dates etc.
