I have just registered on the Groni website and you can now purchase credits to look up BMD. I cannot see on there how many credits you need to view a birth marriage or death. Has anybody used this and is it the same system as Scotland's people.

To search for records on GRONI online, you need to:
(1) register for an account; and
(2) purchase at least one credit (currently 40 pence).
You can hold up to a maximum of 200 credits.
When you search for records, two viewing options will appear over to the right hand side against each result, you can either select:
(a) "Enhanced", which will provide additional information for the record - this costs 1 credit (currently 40 pence); or
(b) "Full", which will provide all information available for the record, including a digitised image from the original - this costs 5 credits (currently £2).
IMHO the "Full" version is the one to go for.
