After too many years of chasing I finally got past Cloughs of 1827 down to Richard Dodd born 1751 Over, Cheshire. Can any one help out with his death year please?
Thanks

Thanks Colin.
I'll have them on the list although I am just about certain that my Richard's birth was 1751.
It's not helped by the fact that his mother is not recorded!

Unfortunately the mothers name was not generally noted until later in the 1750s. Death/Burial records of age are not always correct to the precise year.
I note that Richards Father James was noted as a Husbandman on the baptism record. It also looks possible that James married Mary Taylor a month earlier at Over. Richard seems to be their only child?

Again thanks Colin.
This seems a interesting piece to investigate!

I notice that a Richard Dodd (husbandman) married Sarah Moulton in 1779, parish not noted.
A James Dodd was born 1781 in Over, parents Richard a Labourer and Sarah.
A Richard Dodd married Sarah Harding at St Olave in Chester in 1780, they had two children there, Martha in 1785, & Joseph 1788. The marriage and baptism records state that Richard was a Pavior.
Hope this helps.
