Title: Corbat-Ross

My GG Grandfather was Alexander Corbat Ross who was listed on death certificate as being born in Tain, Rosshire about 1860. I cannot find any record of his birth but there was a Jessie Corbet who married an Alexander Ross in 1863 and listed as living in Edderton at one point. They named named 3 daughters with the last middle name Corbet so I am wondering if they had an illegitamate son before marrying. Alexander Corbat Ross was in NZ by 1883 ish.
Any help for identifying Alexander Corbat Ross would be welcome

There is a birth for a Alexander Corbat 1/3/1862 Nigg Ross & Cromarty
Mother Jessie Corbat  could be a possibility
