Title: Medal identification
Post by: AmyUK on Friday 11 September 15 18:42 BST (UK)
Can anyone identify the medals in this photo?

http://tinypic.com/r/15hoh6w/8 (http://tinypic.com/r/15hoh6w/8)

The man wearing them was born in Islington in 1885 and moved to South Africa in the mid 1930's

Many thanks

Sorry but I really don't like all the nasty pop-ups that occurred when I clicked your link and I was re-directed to another website. Is it not possible to post your pic as an attachment ?

When I try to post it as an attachment I get the following message

Sorry! There is already an attachment with the same filename as the one you tried to upload. Please rename the file and try again.

I don't know how to rename the file as I am using an iPad

Is this any better?

They aren't UK Military medals - because they should be worn on the left breast.

They are probably not military medals from any country

Unless they are being worn  by the widow or widower,   or by son/daughter etc,  in which case they are worn  on the Right chest,  and then usually in a straight row.

But I do not recognise them as UK military medals either.
