Post by: ainsley on Wednesday 09 September 15 18:27 BST (UK)
Hi i have just recieved my Great Aunt and Uncles marriage certificate from 1922, on it my Grt uncles occupation is Gunner Royal Field Artillery residence Fenham Barracks Newcastle. It also has what I'm assuming is his service number. Would his service records be available?

His name is James Samuel Miller and the number under his info is 1018696

thanx ainsley

Since he was still serving in 1922 his records will still be with the MOD.

Thanks for that, just had a quick look looks like I will be able to apply for his records as he has been dead for more than 25yrs.
