Does anyone know if Kelly's Directories are online anywhere, perhaps on one of the pay-per-view websites. The one I am particularly interested in is the Kelly Directory for Gloucestershire in 1901.

Hi,
You could try this collection

Many thanks. It seems to have ones about 5 years either side, rather than the one I'm interested in. But useful resource to know about.

How about this link?

Hi Greaves,
I have Kellys Directory, 1914, on CD if that helps any.

Hi Victor
I am trying to find out what happened to the Parsons family. In 1901 James, Emily and George Parsons were living at Gloucester Road, Stratton, Cirencester. James was aged 56 and born in London, his wife Emily was aged 58 and born in Siddington, and their son George was 19 and born in London. Both James and George were garden labourers, whilst Emily was a Grocer.
I know that Emily died in 1901 after the census and that George married in 1902 and moved back to London. So I suppose what I want to know is did Emily have a shop before her death and what happened to James? Did he stay in the area? Or did he also move to London? I was hoping that some local directory might be able to supply some answers.

Hi Greaves,
Sorry, I don't think that I can help you any further. I could do a specific lookup for you at Glos Archives, but I'm confined to barracks at the moment with a number of health issues. I could do a lookup though when I'm feeling better.

Hope you get well soon.
