What are you stuck with?  Going backwards to find their parents? Or going forward to see if they had more children and when they died?

If the former -Have you got the marriage cert? That will hopefully give names and occupations of their fathers.

If the latter - have you checked FreeBMD?

Looking for Jones in Wales is probably always going to be a certificate job!
With no more info on them, not even a year of birth, there must be hundreds of possibilities and you will never know if you have found the right ones.

To be honest finding Jones was always going to be a cert job, but i was hoping to find the rough age of Matthews, but nothing. Unfortunately i have a habit of not seeing things despite staring at them. Certificate ordered  :)

Hello..... My Great Grandfather was Rowland Jones who married Margaret Matthews, they had 3 children in Rhymney. Dylys (1915) Victor (1917) and Glynn (????). They moved to Birmingham around 1938/40 ....when Victor married Julia Casburn (Sept 1940) I have not been able to find much on Ancestry.com .....but I have fotos of Rowland and Margaret, aswell as Dylys, Victor and Glynn. I live in Perth Western Australia so I find it difficult to access the info .....would love to contact to share more info.

Bye Karen

Hi Karen, I am actually doing my wife's tree at the moment, and after showing her your e-mail it appears you are related as Rowland was also her great grand father. My wife recalls having an uncle Vic and Glynn and she says that Victor and Julia lived in Redditch Worcestershire. She'd love to see any photo's you have especially as she only has one photo and that's of her grandmother (Dylys).

bye for now

Regards

Alan

Me again Karen, just looked at the tree I'd got so far and I have got the three on them on the tree, as you can see from the dates I do a bit then leave it then do a bit more and I obviously forgot to tell the wife  ::) Anyway I have got Victor as marrying Julia Florence Irene Webb, would this be the same person or have I got the wrong marriage?

Alan

Yes... my grand mother Julia Florence Irene Casburn was married previously to Robert Arthur Webb and they had a son Douglas in 1925. She married Victor in 1940 I think. How exciting !!!

I am not used to using this site so I am not sure how to upload photos for you. I have used Ancestry.com previously. I found your message when I was googling Dylys Jones just by accident. I met Dylys when I was little and my nan and grandad took me to visit Dylys and her husband Bert.... I think

Your wife must be Graham's daughter? I am Victor's son Warwick's daughter Karen. So my maiden name was Jones and yes we all eventually lived in Redditch. A lot of my family are still in Redditch. I emigrated to Perth Western Australia about 30yrs ago. I am now in my 50's and have 3 grown up children of my own. Would love to chat more with you both and send some photos ... Best wishes Karen PS:would you like my email address or you can find me on Face Book .... Karen Woodbridge Perth Western Australia

Yes she is Grahams eldest daughter, we sadly lost him 7 years ago. , I'm sure Helen will love to chat, she remembers a Julian who she thinks is your dad's brother, is that correct?

Hi Alan .... I have sent you some photos and a few more family details to your email address. They may go into your junk as your security wall may not recognise my email address at this stage. I have some more photos of Dylys and Graham which I will send tomorrow as they were not in the digital file that it was using this morning on the way to work...ha
I was sending photos of Rowland and Margaret to my cousins in UK over the weekend as one of the grandchildren was asking questions about great grand parents etc which is why this whole search started again. Some times you just have to be in the right place at the right time. Bye Karen

Hi Karen, not sure if you are going to get this or not, I know its been ages since I have been on, It's been on my 'to do' list to get back on and follow things along again, but I just haven't found the time, but I have a little more  now I'm retired - not much though. Looking back through the messages, I think my PC went down before I could get the photos as I couldn't find any, I'd love to show Helen some of the photos you sent, unfortunately (long story) I think she only has one of Dylys. I'm back on for another 6 months at least, so hopefully will be able to get a bit more to the tree completed.
Bye for now
Alan
