I have an ancestor who was convicted at Swindon Police Court in 1880 and sentenced to 28 days hard labour. Would the subject CD contain any information about this?
Many thanks.

I just thought I would have one final try at this brickwall. Before I buy the Summary of Convictions CD I would be most grateful if anyone with the CD can tell me what I can expect to find and whether it contains data for individuals from 1879 to 1881.
Thank you,
Rog

Hi Rog,
I'm not sure where you go for the CD of Summary Convictions, but its just a thought - have you tried contacting the Wilts FHS to see if they can offer any assistance of its contents;

It might help before buying.

Hi Rog,
I have moved your post to the standard country board as more people check this section out ;)

Thank you Alan,
Wilts FHS is the place to go. I also tried Findmypast as it seems some Wilts data is on there but I had no luck.
Having read the newspaper report of the Swindon Police Court, it does leave me with questions about the trial.
Appreciate the input,
