Hi James, the article refers to a Denis Lally being sought by his sisters, Mary and Anne. It states he is the son of Denis and Anne Lally (nee brown), he left Lord Street, Oldham, England 14 years prior and is now about 40 years of age. The address for reply is Thomas Scanlon, 66 Common Street, Lawrence, Mass. The article is dated 17 November 1883.
Hope this helps.

For anyone that is interested it appears that Denis Lally was found, however, he died on 24th September 1895 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, USA. His parents are named on his death record as Denis Lally and Ann Brown.

Thanks for the update, pleased to hear you managed to track him down. It's sad that he died at a relatively young age though.
