Hi - do you have a birthplace/birthdate (even approximate) for any of the suggested children? It is very hard to find people without that basic information.

I see from Familysearch that John Medcalf & Sophia Brown married at Bocking on 8 November 1827. If you have a look on Familysearch for Medcalf children born to John & Sophia in Essex you will find several children baptised in Bocking 1828-1841.  Their names don't match the list you are looking for.

John Medcalf and Sophia Brown were married 8 Nov 1827 St Mary the Virgin Bocking Essex
They had six children but none had the names that you are searching for.

You can view this marriage and the baptisms of these children on Freereg

Mary Medcalf nee King must have died or divorced between 1841 -1851 not on 1851 census & by then John living with his 2 sons in the White hart Feering.Essex
Can't find Mary after 1841 & also cant find John,s father who was also  called John or any information relating to him.
John father was 60 in 1841.Living with the family.
Can't seem to get back any further back.
Any extra information would be appreciated.

That looks like Mary Medcalf nee King's death in Witham 1843.
Regarding the response to my other question relating to Mary's father in law John.
In 1841 ( 60) he his living with his son John &  Mary Medcalf reported to be an Army Pensioner.
In 1851 he is still in Feering which would suggest that he is still living with his son, however his son John, grandsons Philip 11, George 9 end up as lodgers in the White hart Feering in 1851 so John now 70 could be living with the Medley  family & now described as a Marine Pensioner.
Question for you guys - can you view things like death certificate on line or do you have to send off & buy them
Regards
Peter
