Hi delta,
rootschat isn't really for finding living relatives - you should remove his name if he may still be alive.  Just hit modify and backspace over the name

I see a possible entry in the white pages http://www.whitepages.com.au/   Choose residential and Greater Adelaide, South Australia

regards
   Ros

adding : I can't find a death or recent death notice here https://www.genealogysa.org.au/ or a burial here http://www.aca.sa.gov.au/Records

There are two phone listings for a name and initials of your person of interest in the Greater Adelaide Region of whitepages.

http://www.whitepages.com.au/?entryType=R#

A person with the same name as you person of interest was enlisted to vote in 1977 at Mildura, Victoria there is no listing for 1980.  He was the only HART enlisted to vote at the address.

Thanks to you all for your responses.  I will try sending a letter to see whether I can find him.

,

I had found some offline information last evening, and was planning on posting it this morning.   I see that the original post has been removed and the posts that follow are now seemingly out of  sync.

Cheers,

JM
