Hello,
Charles was my great grandfather but I know very little about him. He was married to my great grandmother (Lucy May Harmes) then remarried, after she died, to Henrietta Lind. If you can fill in some blanks or have a photo of Charles you would be willing to share with me I would love to hear from you.
Until I started researching my family tree my mum didn't even know her grandparents names so I would love to be able to show her a picture of her relatives.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post
Kind regards
Kate

Do you have access to Ancestry, there are several trees on there with this family, so they must be related to you? One in particular gives Charles's birth as 03 May 1883 in Jiggins Lane Northfield Birmingham. They have a photo of Lucy May Harmes attached. They also trace the family back to a John Flavell born 1730.

Thank you Groom
I'll go to the library and have a look :)

Flavell is a unusual name. Would they be connected to the Sydney Flavell of Leamington Spa who was quite an industry leader in the market of fires and cookers.

Hello Dabs0
Sydney is not a name I have come across yet.
Charles Flavell is my Great Grandfather and married Lucy May Harmes; does that ring any bells with you?

did he have connections in the bicycle trade as there was a Flavell cycle firm (Flavell & Co) that existed in the early 1890s in Coventry. they sold 'Reform' safety cycles.
