Title: Elizabeth Storke - burial 9 Jul 1692 Peasenhall, please verify
Post by: CarrollC on Thursday 30 July 15 23:58 BST (UK)
Per findmypast.com there is a burial entry for Elizabeth Stork 9 Jul 1692 in Peasenhall, St. Michael Church.  However, someone has used this date as a Christening date in FamilySearch.org.  I need someone with access to the original record to verify that this is truly a burial record and not just transcribed incorrectly in findmypast.  Or is there any notation with the entry to reclassify it as a Christening?  Is there any indication of parents, age, marital status that can help me clarify this?
   If you see any other entries within the area that might match my Elizabeth Stork who married Richard Ward in 1718, Wilby, I'd appreciate any leads/clues.
Thanks

Hi CarrollC,

In the Suffolk Burial Index CD (ex SFHS) there is this entry;

Elizabeth Storke 9-7-1692 d/o William Peasenhall, St.Michael.

There is also this;
Elizabeth Stork 28-8-1662 w/o Thomas Peasenhall St.Michael.

I think the first entry above answers your initial enquiry. I couldn't see any other Elizabeth Stork entries for Peasenhall.
