Hi All
So ive been researching for a while now and have come to a halt. My 7th great grandfather, John, was born in great gaddesden herts in 1740 yet this is no proof of this. I cant find a baptism to research further back and now dont know where to look?
Ive used the free sites and county/parish records so far
If anyone can help advise further i would be grateful
Thankyou
Chris

Hi
If you pass/receive info thru the personal message system then you run the risk of cutting out help from the rest of the Rootschatters, who do not wish to waste time/effort duplicating research on detail already known.

It does say as part of my registering that i am aloud to use the pm service does it not?
It is also the discretion of its participants what and how information is shared. To say the information is not going to be shared is highly presumptive.
Hi Kimmie75, share the info anyway you please:) i appreciate your help.

We only share sensitive information by pm - say for information on living folk. Just replying opens up the topic to anyone who wishes to comment ;)

Thanks for clarifying sarah. I didnt want to stir trouble but i also understand if someone has put in alot of effort that it also be there discretion, particularly if its been a financial cost to the exploration.
Kind Regards

Hi Chris,
I have been all over the North of England taking photographs of Graves & Houses, I post the images freely, RootsChat is a free website - all research & photograph restorations are free as we hope that it help not only the poster but anyone else with interest.
Research is often like a big jigsaw, piece by piece the pieces of research help build a bigger picture. Seeing all the pieces on the table can give people other ideas to try often some ideas never thought of.
We do not publish information of living people on RootsChat as they are often security questions etc so this is the sort of information exchanged by private message.
Regards
Sarah :)
