Hello I am looking for any information about my great great uncle's wife her name was Vera Lee Adams don't know her maiden name. His name was John Lovine Adams he was killed in September 17, 1949 in Calgary as a result of a truck accident. I have no idea when they got married or when or where she was born. Don't know what happened to her after he was killed. So was hoping someone could help me find information on her. I think they lived at 228 4th Ave. West. She is a mystery in my family tree that I would like to solve. Thank you in advance for any help.

It appears that he was born c1914, Ontario, Canada. Still looking around for Vera.

Yes John Lovaine Adams was born on August the 13 1914 in West Flambro As far as I know he had no children he was killed September 17, 1949 in a truck accident he is buried at Grove Cemetery in Dundas, Ontario So I take it that his family had his body return back to here as he was living in Calgary. His parents names were John Armour Adams and Margaret Adelia Denholm . John L Adams father had passed away before he did. It must have been hard for his mom to have to bury him as your children should out grow you. He was an employee of Art's transport. He also had many siblings. Hope this helps I have not been able to find anything on his wife Vera Lee.

I tried searching (using various keywords), hoping for another newspaper article, but have not yet found anything:

I also tried to find the couple in a directory, but so far have not had any luck.

Note: The article states his name was Jack Levine Adams, of 228 4th Avenue E.
Mr. Adams had lived in Canmore prior to living in Calgary (no indication of when).
"...survived by his wife, Vera, living at 620 15th Avenue E." Perhaps they were in the middle of a move, or perhaps they had split up? :-\
