Hi there,
Can anyone give me a spelling lesson.
One of my g.g.grand.fathers was born in
Londonderry.
His discharge paper states he was born in
a parish of Derry.
Writing is so bad but it looks like GLENDOONAH.

Hi Jimbo,
Have you considered uploading a snip of the word to RChat's decipher board?
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/handwriting-deciphering-recognition/
There's some excellent helpers on that board.
Cheers, JM (NSW centric)

Hi Aghadowey,
My apologies if you were confused with my spelling.
I am now even more confused now that I've found the correct spelling.
It seems that the place has two versions, that gives it as Clondermot.
Now my Thomas Daugherty appears to have been born circa 1777.
Again soo sorry for my pensioner finger.
Thank you in anticipation
