These two people are my ggg grandparents they were married in St Margaret's on 25 Mar 1833
I would like to know who the witnesses were or any other information that might be on the actual entry.
If anyone has access I'd be most obliged for this information

Wow that's really interesting, I never knew he had a brother John although I had seen the marriage entry on the IGI. By 1861 Maria, John's wife is a widow. Cannot find them in the 1851 census. Then nor could I find Thomas until they turned up in Germantown, Philadelphia in 1850. Tomas and his family returned to Leicester but many of his siblings all stayed in the US.
If anyone is interested in the Aucotts you can email me and I will give you access to my web site.

Thank you, I wish they gave parent names, I pretty sure his was James since all the others were baptized in Stoke Golding to James Aucott and Ann. They only real link is a Thomas Aucott baptized April 1810 in Barwell. If that's him why is he the only one baptized there?

Thanks Bunnygirl I was aware of that Thomas. In the IGI there is another in April 1810 of Thomas being baptized in Barwell to a James and Anne.
The main reason I went with that one is because of Edward being a witness and Thomas went to America with many of the other Aucotts. The other Thomas became a hairdresser living in Hinckley for the most part.
I have to say I am now questioning my assumptions since in every census he stated that he was from Stapleton not Stoke Golding where the others were from.
Edit : I wonder if you be so kind as to tell me where Thomas, bpt 22 April 1810, was from?

Hi,
The record I found is in Barwell Parish Register and that is the first entry for Ancott that I can see.
The entries on the IGI i would always have checked out as sometimes they are not correct.

Hmm that's unfortunate, it seems odd that someone transcribing the record would add a name that isn't there. Even more curious is that they've added three people who actually existed. Ah well !!

Hi
Contact Leicester Records Office and ask them to comfirm Barwell Parish Register entries. That's your best way forward and will stop all the speculation!!!
