Hello
Does anyone know what the denunciation column on a marriage entry in the parish records means?
Thanks.
-
Perhaps to do with "Denunciation of impediments"?

Thanks for your reply - it looks like it could be to do with the banns yes...
Does anyone know what the options could mean - a lot of the say "disp" but a few others say "Tue" or "Jue" possibly but can't really be sure what it says... any ideas?
Thanks.

Good thinking...
The URL is http://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633453#page/51/mode/1up and the marriage took place on 26th November 1876.
I've also taken a screen shot to show what it says - it looks like "Tue" or "Yue" maybe any ideas?

I think it says 'Tres', latin for Three, as in the Banns were read out the required three times.

Yes it prop does. Thank you. Do you have any idea why there would be a disp or tres in the column???
