Hi Meep_Meep :)
do you know where in Warwickshire James was born? There are a few entries for the same names.
If you can give a bit more information - such as his parents names, or marriage date for James, it would be a great help.
Regards
Darcy

I don't know if it was this James Hancox the OP wanted to find, but if it is, or anybody else has this family - we are related. Joe and Hannah's youngest daughter Harriet Lynes Hancox was my great-grandma.
I've also found kin of Sarah Hancox, and have suspects for George and James married with children in the Kenilworth area in later censuses. Difficult to prove, but if it is this James and his wife was a Morgan that makes it easier. Chris

I don't know if this is the same James Hancox on the 1891 at Park Wood Cottage, Hammerton Farm, Stoneleigh:
James Hancox,Head,M,43,Farm Lab,Employed,Kenilworth Warwickshire
Sarah Hancox,Wife,M,39,Fillongley Warwickshire
George Hancox,Son,12,Scholar,Balsall Warwickshire
Lucy Hancox,Dau,9,Scholar,Balsall Warwickshire
This sort of fits, the age and occupation are right, and the Fillongley connection though seeming odd (a fair way from here) might be explained if James married a lass from his mother's home village.
Not rare enough a name to be certain, though. There;s more than one marriage on FreeBMD that fits the bill, though the Meriden one looks promising.

Hey there - still working out how to use this website. Perhaps we're related in some way - my great great grandparents were James Hancox and Eliza Jane Morgan - there daughter Emma Hancox married Samuel Morgan - they're my grandparents - do you have any other information for ancestors above Thomas Morgan and Catherine (Kate) Green?? Perhaps we can share information. How do you send direct messages on this thing?
Cheers!
