Hello
I am trying to trace information on Thomas Fyfe/Fyffe born 1875 Kirriemuir, I believe raised by his grandparents and shown on the 1881 and 1891 census. Was his mother Angnes Fenton?
Any assistance be great. He was one of the first Vicars in the parish I live in.
Regards
Andy

Hi Andy,
Are you on Ancestry? If so there is a Private Members Story on a Thomas Fenton Fyffe, Vicar of Cornforth (1875 - 1946) could this be your gentleman?
Hope this info is of some use to you.

Andy, what are the census entries you have Thomas in with grandparents? More importantly, what were their names so we can try and figure out his family upwards...

Andy, Agnes as you think was indeed the mother. Thomas was born on 2 January 1875 in Kirriemuir to Agnes, a domestic servant.

I think that Thomas may be my great grandfather. Did he have a daughter named Agnes Fenton-Fyfe who married George Hallett Christie?
-
Yes Thomas did have a daughter named Agnes Fenton-Fyfe who married George Hallett Christie, and a daughter called Margaret Ann F Christie who I believed married your side of the family Mr Howard. I have not researched Margaret marriage line. But yes I have photos of your great grandfather and his name is located at places within my parish church too.
